Sometimes the energy
requirement is very high and installing a solar stand alone system will be very
expensive. In such situations, we design a hybrid system for our clients. This
type of package takes in its power input from both a diesel generator and the
photovoltaic modules.
Depending on the needs of the
client, the system can be designed such that the diesel generator runs for a
given number of hours while the solar panels charge the batteries, and then the
load is shifted automatically to the batteries.
The number of hours that the
generator is required to run purely depends on the need of the client.
An alternative hybrid system
can also be designed where no solar panels are used and the batteries are
charged while the generator is running and the stored power can be consumed when
the generator is not running.
It is also possible to
include Conventional electricity as a third power source in the hybrid system
depending on the clients requirements.
